today when i wen i was taking a bus to go home from school, there was this not only visually but also physically handicapped man. it was such a pity to see him in such a condition. what really touched my heart was that when he was alighting the bus, jus before stepping out of the bus, he thanked the driver and greeted all the passangers wishing them to have a good day! now see! i have never in my life seen any1 including we, abled- bodies ones, actually thanked the bus driver and wished every1 else in the bus before alighting.
yes i know we pay bus fare and bus drivers are paid to do drive buses but dont u think it really brighten's up some1's day by just saying that few words?! well. at least for me it did. n further more to see a disabled person who is being challenged in so many aspects of life greeting us i feel bad. we who are "normal" and are more blessed cant do a simple thing like this.
mabye its jus our attitude that i admit even i myself cant change for now. it always take another person to do these little yet impactful actions to give us that wake up call. whoever he is, i really wished him all the best and he is a person whom i truly respect.
this is part of lyrics of The World's Greatest by R kelly: (i find this part very nice! haha!)
I am a mountain, I am a tall tree, oh
I am a swift wind sweepin' the country
I am a river down in the valley, oh
I am a vision and I can see clearly
If anybody asks you who I am
Just stand up tall
Look 'em in the face and say
I'm that star up in the sky
I'm that mountain peak up high
Hey, I made it
I'm the world's greatest
And I'm that little bit of hope
When my back's against the ropes
I can feel it I'm the world's greatest
